Here are a few recent pictures I have taken. It is very hard to get any pictures of Logan. He is always on the go! Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving

Now that Audrey has been making me look really bad with all her posts, I guess I better get cracking! I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I know we did. My Granny Simmons, Aunt Chris, and cousin Brianna all came up to mom and dad's and we had a nice dinner. Dad was a little disappointed because he fried the turkey and it got a little burnt on the outside, but we just peeled the skin off and it still tasted good!

Kelsey is ready for her Thanksgiving dinner!

Exciting Weekend

It had been a long time since we took a trip to Warner Robins to visit my parents, so we decided to do that this weekend. We got up early Saturday morning and got everything ready to go. The car was loaded and the only thing left to do was get the kids loaded and get Samson. I put Kelsey in the car first. Adam ran upstairs to get Samson and I called Logan to come get in the car. As he and I are walking to his side of the car, he trips over my feet and lands face first on the driveway. I picked him up and he was holding his wrist. The first thought I had was that he had broken his wrist. Then, I saw the blood. I pulled his hand away from his face and as soon as I saw it, I knew he needed stitches in his chin. Logan and I went back in the house to clean up the blood and get a washcloth to keep on his chin and we headed to an urgent care facility. We got there at about 9:45 but they didn't open until 10:00. We decided to just wait there until they opened. To make a long story short, they finally told us at 10:30 they don't usually treat children and sent us to a children's urgent care hospital. Why they couldn't tell us that when they saw us come in the door, I don't know, but anyway, we were on our way to the Children's hospital.

When we got there we had not even finished signing in when a nurse came out to call another family back. She looked at Logan and asked if he had a split chin, then took us right on back. They put this numbing gel on Logan's chin that had to stay on for 30 minutes and sent us back to the waiting room to get registered. Exactly 30 minutes later, they were calling us back to get stitched up. I was quite impressed with the care and attention we received. They were wonderful!

Logan was so tough! Adam and I were very proud of him. He handled everything so great. He told the nurses and the doctor exactly what happened, and didn't even flinch while they worked on him. He really did AWESOME!

Kelsey's Latest Thing

I guess Kelsey is a little self-conscious about her arms and doesn't want to get "BINGO wings." :) She loves doing push-ups! She's a crazy girl!

I know I can get to those cars.

Happy Halloween

Well, I've decided that I had better make a new post and try to regain my place as favorite DIL. :) With that said, October has been an incredibly busy month. We did not have a free weekend the whole month and the weekdays were just as packed. We had several appointments for Kelsey and Logan had things going on at school that I was involved in. Logan's school put on a Fall Festival that was a lot of fun. Logan won a goldfish that he was really proud of. Unfortunately, Swimmy only survived about one week.

Last Friday was Logan's Halloween party at school, which was also a lot of fun. Logan got to wear his costume to school that day and they had games and of course, a LOT of candy. On Saturday a family from church hosted a Halloween party with more games and candy. And finally trick-or-treating on Sunday resulted in even more candy. Needless to say, Logan made out with the candy this year!

Logan's Music Teacher

Tonight we had to go out and run an errand. While in the car we were asking Logan about what he was doing in school. His teachers sent home a note a few weeks ago explaining their music program. Here's how the conversation went:

Mom: So Logan, do you have music at school?
Logan: Yes
Mom: What's your teacher's name?
Logan: Ms. Caroline. She's kinda weird.

Adam and I looked at each other and tried to control the laughter, but it was no use. It was hilarious. And of course, our laughter led to uncontrollable laughter by Logan, which in turn led to uncontrollable laughter by all. The way he answered so matter-of-factly was just so funny. Not something we expected to hear from our four year old.

Kelsey's First Cereal

So I decided to go ahead and start Kelsey on cereal before we took her to the doctor for her four month check-up. When we did go to the doctor we found out that we need to wait until she weighs 14 pounds before we start her on the cereal. Anyway, here are a few pictures of her getting that first taste of rice cereal...yum!

Yeah, I'm ready for it!
Here it is!
Um, not so bad...maybe.
Nevermind, you can have it back!

Logan's First Field Trip

Today was Logan's first field trip! It was an exciting day! This morning he ran into our room and said, "Mommy, do you know what today is? It's field trip day!" He was very excited. They got to go to a petting "zoo" at the county fair. We went to the fair last Friday, but we didn't go to the petting zoo exhibit. Kind of glad we didn't so Logan was able to have fun seeing everything for the first time on his field trip. He had a great time!

I am so thankful that I am able to stay home and go on these kinds of trips with Logan. It is really exciting to see him experience all these new things.
