Kelsey's First Cereal

So I decided to go ahead and start Kelsey on cereal before we took her to the doctor for her four month check-up. When we did go to the doctor we found out that we need to wait until she weighs 14 pounds before we start her on the cereal. Anyway, here are a few pictures of her getting that first taste of rice cereal...yum!

Yeah, I'm ready for it!
Here it is!
Um, not so bad...maybe.
Nevermind, you can have it back!

Logan's First Field Trip

Today was Logan's first field trip! It was an exciting day! This morning he ran into our room and said, "Mommy, do you know what today is? It's field trip day!" He was very excited. They got to go to a petting "zoo" at the county fair. We went to the fair last Friday, but we didn't go to the petting zoo exhibit. Kind of glad we didn't so Logan was able to have fun seeing everything for the first time on his field trip. He had a great time!

I am so thankful that I am able to stay home and go on these kinds of trips with Logan. It is really exciting to see him experience all these new things.

Quick Update

Today was Kelsey's four month check-up. Can you believe she's four months old, already? I can't! She weighs 13 lbs 1 oz (33%) and is 25" long (72%). Her head is still in the ninth percentile, but it's growing, so that's a good thing. Logan's head was always between the 5-10%, too. As you can tell, she's growing great. We were told to wait to start her on cereal until she weighs at least 14 pounds and is eating about 32 oz of formula a day. Right now she's probably only getting around 25 oz, so the dr said to try to squeeze in at least one more bottle a day. Compared to all the other babies at church who are the same age, Kelsey is a little tiny thing. So, all in all she's doing well.

Logan is also doing great. He loves school and has a great time. He is learning so much! Last week he participated in the Trike-a-Thon. It was really fun to go watch him at school and see him with his school friends. I was really proud of him for staying in the line with his class and just saying a quick, "hi, mom!" and wave when he saw me, instead of running over to me.

My Two Cuties

It's hard to get a picture of Logan without his eyes closed anymore, so this was the only good one I got of him.
