More Summer Fun

Our past few weekends have been a bit busy. Logan and I went to a bluegrass and BBQ festival with my parents one Saturday...Adam was a party-pooper, he didn't want to go. :-( Too bad, though, it was really fun! Anyway, at the bluegrass and BBQ festival there was a stand with funnel cakes and they smelled SO good. I did not get one, but I remembered I had a recipe to make some at home. So, the next week I decided to make some funnel cakes as a special treat. Logan had a good time eating them!

I get a thumbs-up! Must be good!

Must wipe mouth with shirt.

The next weekend, we had a garage sale with my mom and dad, so we were at their house for the weekend. My dad grilled some YUMMY ribs, we had potato salad, and squash...YUMMY!!!! I thought it would be fun and a nice way to end the evening if we made s'mores. I think Logan enjoyed eating the marshmallows, but I know he liked toasting them even more. All he wanted to do was roast marshmallows. What a nice summer evening!

Adam enjoyed his s'mores, too!

Since Logan's cowboy hat has seen much better days, his granny and pa got him a new cowboy hat to wear to church and a bolo tie. He was really excited about his new hat and tie. He was all spiffed up Sunday morning!

The last few pictures are just of things I thought were cute and funny that Logan has done recently. Hope you enjoy!

Of course we have to get in some bluegrass practice!

Tiring weekend at granny and pa's.

Love the hair-do!

I'm not sure what he was trying to do, but he found most of his cars and lined them up.
Finally, Logan loves to be outside, whether it be riding his tricycle, roller skating, drawing with chalk, or just kicking a ball. But, here he is on his tricycle.

Must be prepared...in case it starts raining in the house.

Mommy is taking a picture...trying not to look! :-)

The Newest Member of the Grand Ole Opry

As everyone knows, my dad really enjoys playing his guitar and mandolin. His favorite music is bluegrass. He is working his hardest on Logan, so he will have a playing buddy. It seems to be working, though. Every Tuesday evening my dad goes to a little bluegrass picking. While I was staying with my parents, waiting for my house to be ready, we had the opportunity to go listen to some good ole bluegrass music. The first night we went, my dad had his guitar out to "practice" and Logan was playing his mandolin. It was about time to go, so my dad was put his guitar in the case and started to load up his truck. As we headed out the door Logan told us to wait; he ran off and came right back with his mandolin. We put it in the truck, thinking this could be really cute, or really bad. When we got to the Powersville Grand Ole Opry, we unloaded the truck, and watched as the guys set up on the stage. Logan decided he wanted to get up there and play his mandolin. My dad got a chair for him, he sat down and went to playing just like all those other men. He was the biggest hit! All the people got such a kick out of that little boy up there playing his mandolin. We only got to go about three times, but every week those people ask about Logan and where he is. They said they have a spot for him if we're ever back visiting on a Tuesday night!

Back in Business

Hey, everybody! I know it has been a REALLY long time since I've posted anything, but Adam finally found the cord to my camera so I can post pictures again! Although I've been absent for a while, not really a whole lot has been going on. We have been busy painting and unpacking and that's about it. These are the only pictures I have of the house so far. I know some of you have been wanting to see them (Audrey) so, here you go and I hope you enjoy! More to come as we go along.
