Logan's 5th Birthday

It's hard to believe that our little Logan is now FIVE years old! Where did the time go? He is so excited now that he is five and for about the first week after he turned five, he was sure to let EVERYONE he saw know that he was five. It is so exciting to see him grow and change and become more independent. He is so much fun and always makes me laugh!

One quick side-story-his birthday was on a Sunday this year. Adam takes him to class and I would normally pick him up. My class ran a few minutes late, but I went back to his classroom to get him and of course everyone was gone. I just assumed that his teacher had brought him out and taken him to Adam. When I went into the auditorium Adam let me know that Logan had told him that, "I didn't wait for mommy to come get me. I'm five now. I can do it all by myself." So grown. :)

Anyway, Logan's best friend at church couldn't come to his party, so we invited him and his family to go out to lunch with us after church on Sunday. Logan and Jordan are so goofy together and have lots of fun. These pictures will show how goofy they are!

I love their faces in this one! Makes me laugh, every time!

After lunch, we went home and had cupcakes. Kelsey provided the entertainment this time!

Blow out the candles!

You can see how hard Kelsey was staring at this cupcake. She wanted some SO bad!

And she got it! :)

And she LOVED it!

Logan wanted to have icing all over his mouth like Kelsey. :)
Kelsey wanted that cupcake so bad and when we put some of the icing in her mouth she said, "Mmmm." It was so funny!

Now, on to the party! This year Logan chose Star Wars as the theme for his party. And, I must admit that I did have more fun than I thought I would planning it. We decided to make the party like the kids were in Jedi training. We made Jedi robes for them all to wear, so they first got their robes. Then they had to do some "tasks" to prove they were ready to become Jedi. The first task was testing how well they listened. We played a game of "Yoda Says." Let me just say, most of them did not get it, but they had fun playing!

Getting their Jedi robes!

Next, they had to be able to rescue the princesses. We put pictures of Princess Leia and Princess Amidala in black balloons and they had to pop the balloons to find the princesses!

The shuttle appeared.

Find those princesses!

After they found the princesses, they had earned their light sabers!

After they practiced with their lightsabers, it was time to face the final challenge-defeat Darth Vader. Some of them were a little afraid of Darth Vader. When we brought it out, even Logan ran over to me and said he was scared. I told him he was the bad guy and he had to "get" him, he was fine.

Get him, Logan!

Making some progress!

Go, Jacob!

Kelsey enjoying the party.

Time to chow down!

Beat up Mr. Jason!

Time for presents!!!

Yep, Kelsey got some, too. Thanks, Mom!

Happy 5th Birthday, Logan!
